The nearest course is Champions Gate which currently offers two Greg Norman designed layouts called the National and International with a third course called the Country Club at Champions Gate now open.
Next would be Highlands Reserve which is less than 5 minutes away and has only one water hazard so a great place to start before heading to one of the tougher Greg Norman courses.
Other golf courses within 15 minutes are Southern Dunes and Mystic Dunes all of which are great layouts and a challenge for golfers of every skill level.

Driving Distances from the Shire at West Haven to the Orlando Theme Parks
We have added the actual driving distances to all the main Orlando theme parks below, these are not the distances to the main gate which most people quote, as this would reduce the distance, but to the actual car park for each attraction. Most of the jouney to the parks are on highways or interstates driving between 55-65 MPH so it's pretty quick to get to all the parks.

While staying on the Shire at West Haven you will probably be looking for nearby restaurants. The closest place (less than 5 minutes) would be Champions Gate Village which has a number shops, gas stations and restaurants. Please contact us through the site for a personalised quote based on your dates which are open until a deposit has been paid. Optional pool heating can be added (especially for the winter months). If booking within 8 weeks of arrival then payment is due in full, otherwise you can secure your dates with a 20% non-refundable deposit.

Winter in Florida
Our winter stay at the house this year was another fantastic time. The upgrades from last year to the home were perfect and the property manager, once again couldn’t have been more helpful. What a great house, neighborhood and area! We could not ask for more for a winter in Florida. We have already booked for next year and hopefully years to come.

Winter Getaway
Stayed in this home for February and March 2022. What a great home and location for golf, Disney and convenient to shopping. It was clean, and the property manager was helpful and attentive. Great view from the pool area and because it is a gated community we felt safe for morning walks. We are staying here again this winter and are looking forward to the return trip.

Would definitely stay again
My family and I stayed at the property for ten days in Dec 2015.
We had a wonderful time and the property provided space for the 5 of us.
Prior to arrival I had been liaising with Claire who was very personable, answered all of my queries and provided information regarding the villa, key collection and management company contact details.
The villa was clean upon arrival. Both Christine and Ivan from the management company were easy to contact were able to answer questions during our stay.
The kids and my partner enjoyed the games room and it was nice to have cable and smart TVs for the days we spent at home. The water in the pool was warm and the master shower was lovely.
Our location was great for major parks and outlets and there were supermarkets and restaurants close by.
We would definitely stay in one of these villas again and I've already recommended them to friends and family.

excellent stay
We have just had a fantastic 2 weeks in this wonderfull villa. having stayed on the Shire a few times we was very familiar with the area. the villa was absolutely spotless . It has everything u need and more, the pool and spa were great and the pool heat was fab. The villa is in a great position for the sun at the rear and is very private. Now the bed, wow was so comfy it was lush. There is plenty of information in the villa that so many other villas do not have, like tv channels listings , Finally I would just like to say that booking with Claire was so easy and stress free, We have already booked again for next year. So thanks to Claire and the management team for doing a great job.

A perfect villa !
Myself, my husband and I stayed at this villa in October 2015 for 2 weeks. Having stayed in Westhaven several times before this villa has been by far the best. The interior was immaculate-I have found in the past they can be very overdecorated but this one was lovely. Very tasteful and well kept. The pool area was a delight-extremely private with no rear neighbours.
The kitchen is well stocked and the washing machine and dryer are in a separate laundry room.
My son particularly enjoyed the pool table and basketball hoop in the garage !
Being gated we also felt very safe here.
We choose to stay in Westhaven due to its close proximity (20 minutes) to the Disney parks but also the local shopping area (10 mins) which has a Publix supermarket, bank, petrol station, pharmacy and Chilis restaurant.
We will definitely be staying here again-please don't hesitate to book !

Perfect
We have been going to Florida for the last 10years and have to say that the house we stayed in this year was one of the best. The Shires is in the perfect location to explore Orlando and it was heaven to return to the villa after a long busy day at the parks. The villa was very well equipped and the beds were extremely comfortable. The pool area and outlook from the villa was fantastic. We will be returning to this villa!
