Wounderfull Time - Will Be Returning Next Spring
We spent two weeks in the villa and it was wonderfully relaxing and certainly the most enjoyable villa we have stayed at. We have been staying in vacation villas at least twice a year for the past decade and we were amazed with the amount of time and money that had been spent on decorating the home. Most villas have the bleached white furniture (a Florida tradition I was once told), a few pictures on the walls and the required "Mickey" themed bedrooms. Well at here at the "Epcot Retreat" villa we found tastefully decorated rooms, each with a well-done theme right down to the lamps, pictures, bedspread and bath mats. Makes you feel right at home, and not like you are renting some cheap villa.
Spent a lot of time floating in the pool enjoying the conservation view, including daily visits by several hawks resting in the tree behind the property line. Even had a couple of turkey vultures sitting in that tree on day and they are very large birds indeed. The back deck is the largest we have found in the area, and so I spent a lot of time out back writing software (I'm a software engineer) and enjoying the view. With privacy hedges on both sides of the pool enclosure the back is not overlooked by anyone, which if you look at most villas is quite rare.
We do eat most meals at home, and so the kitchen was wonderful. This was the first villa we have stayed at that had not only the required collection of day to day plates, but also has a collection of plastic plates for serving dinner on the deck, and so we took advantage of that (we always bring two plastic plates so we can eat outside, but not necessary here).
We did experience an issue one night where the spa heater would not engage and I sent an email to the property manager, Dee. Well Dee showed up the next morning to look at it and then called in a service tech who fixed it and so it was working that night when we got back from Mickeys Very Merry Christmas Party. Knowing that you have a very responsive and helpful property manager is a deciding factor to me and so we have booked the villa for our 2017 spring trip. Our recommendation of this villa is evidenced by our security deposit on our return trip next spring.

This house provides everything needed for a fabulous holiday. When I booked on behalf of the other family staying with us, I was concerned having read the first review. Dee who manages the property was very reassuring. From what I had read I thought we may have to compromise with a property that had insects and that may be a little worse for wear. I couldn't have been more wrong! To my delight, the house was spotlessly clean throughout the kitchen, lounge, bedrooms bathrooms and pool area and my friends said what a lovely villa it was. The linen was clean and the beds were the most comfortable we've slept on any holiday. When not out, we enjoyed spending evenings out on the ample seating area by the pool, a very private, peaceful place overlooking trees and bushes. I'm not sure what the previous visitors did to attract insects, but we were careful to clear up food each time we ate and didn't experience one single cockroach in the kitchen during our whole three week stay! The rooms are so large and roomy, eight of us sharing six bedrooms meant there was potential for the teenagers to use a spare room or additional shower when needed. The cinema room came into it's own to give them their own space as well. Expecting bugs and used to holidays in various countries I'm used to constant insect bites, but didn't get bitten once during the whole stay! With the Disney Parks, Universal, SeaWorld, International Drive, the Outlets, etc a short drive away, we had so much to do within about 20 minute's drive. We highly recommend Marsh Landing Airboat tours to see the Aligators (ask for Chris, he's a brilliant guide - best to do 1.5 hours as it takes a while to get out to the Marsh). If you want to eat al fresco one evening, try Lake Mineola Inn & Tiki Bar in Clermont, a fair drive (about 45 mins), basic home made food, although well worth it sitting by a beautiful lake away from the fairly busy restaurants nearby. Out of all the Orlando resorts and villas we could have stayed in, we realised when there, that many didn't have a clubhouse, sports facilities, or were close to a highway. Emerald Island had everything we needed, with the villa only a short walk from the clubhouse, well-presented, large, clean and comfortable. Dee was helpful and accessible (the site had a powercut one evening and it was reassuring to get through straight away to get help). I would be comfortable recommending it to anyone who is looking for a quality Orlando stay.

Would Stay Again!
Our 3-generation family of 14 enjoyed our 8 night stay and everyone was highly satisfied with the accommodations. The downstairs master was perfect for the grandparents so they didn't have to climb stairs. Plenty of space and bathrooms upstairs for the rest of us (3 parents, 5 college students, and 4 younger teens). Loved the themed rooms!! Teens enjoyed and utilized the game room, which was bearable in August with the fans and portable A/C unit. Everything was as shown in pictures, if not better. Delighted with rapid response from property manager to a couple of concerns--- 2 different problems were corrected within hours after we left a voice message about them, with absolutely no disturbance to our vacation.
Kitchen is well-supplied. I also I brought along my electric skillet and frying pan, which I like to use when cooking for large groups. Had everything we needed. We ate most meals in the home, but there are plenty of restaurants within a few miles. Be advised that, while there are plenty of towels (bath and pool), there are NO wash clothes/face clothes for the baths and FEW dish clothes for the kitchen, so bring your own.
Absolutely no complaints about our stay- just a couple of inconveniences, suggestions, and warnings: (1) Housekeeping could attend to the pool area as well as the home interior--- upon our arrival, the pool deck and pool were littered with remnants of water balloons, which we picked out and scraped off (they had baked to the concrete) before we used the area. The pool is maintained once weekly on a regular schedule, but may need attention between guests. (2) Some walls are in beautiful shape, some could use a coat of paint to refresh, especially the stairway area, (3) The check-in procedure could have been more clear. You will need to register your vehicles at the resort clubhouse for access cards to the gated community. Driveway fits 2 vehicles; additional cars can park on the street, however street parking for this property is limited.
Convenient location! Easy access to all the Disney parks---no longer than 20 minutes to the furthest, even with moderate traffic. About 30 min to Universal. Groceries close (Publix, Target, Marketplace). Quiet neighborhood, quiet street. Home on perimeter of resort, which is adjacent to a preserve, so saw some beautiful wildlife, mostly birds and cranes. Must have a car for transportation if you stay here. Overall, a very positive experience- We'd come back again.

Fit our family perfectly!
Our family loved the house! Six adults, 4 kids ranging from 7 months to 17. House was beautiful, loved the pool, very relaxing. Kids had their space and really appreciated the toys & puzzles. We arrived prior to check-in and they were very accommodating. So close to Disney and all the action. The mystery of the trip - how the bag of hot dog buns got on top of the pool cover - turned out to be a raccoon!! We'll be back.

Lovely home, lots of amenities, perfect
Our whole family enjoyed Epcot House for 10 days in February 2015. We travelled with 9 adults, 2 teens, and two toddlers. Plenty of room to spread out, kitchen fully stocked (appreciated the large dining tables), LOTS of toys in the theater/game room. Lovely private pool and spa which we used every day. Everyone commented on how comfy the beds were, lots of storage, and all the adults loved having their own bathrooms....made for getting the whole crew out the door for the parks in the morning much easier! Location was awesome, just 10 minutes to the door of most of the Disney parks. Tons of great restaurants and shopping nearby. Would stay here again for sure next time our whole family vacations together. Having rented several homes/condos off-property in the past 10 years, Epcot House is the top of our list! Thanks to the owners for helping to make our stay so comfy!

I ended up renting this house for a birthday trip with some friends and family. It was by far the best experience ever! The house was very comfy and accommodating to everyone- from couples to the single ones. And the space was more than enough for easy living. The patio area is a plus and I was impressed by the cleanliness. The only thing is there tend to be little roaches in the kitchen area. When I spoke with Dee and told her about the insects, a pest controller showed up to spray the house in the matter of 30 minutes! So overall, this rental house is definitely worth it! Peaceful backyard with a spacious patio and pool/spa, and the game room kept everyone entertained. The beds are super comfortable especially after long days out and about. In my opinion, you will not regret the choice of this house! So go for it!
