Overview

The first thing you’ll want to do when you arrive at our 5-bedroom, 3-bath Orlando villa at Highlands Reserve Golf Club is head for the extra-spacious back patio for a dip in the sparkling pool. Like almost everything else in this single-story house, it’s been specially designed with wheelchair access in mind, so you can stay focused on fun.

Welcome to your worry-free family vacation (pets welcome!). Just 15 minutes from Disney, 30 minutes from SeaWorld and Universal Studios, and 90 minutes from the Gulf Coast.

Facilities

Living

The Great Room has a fabulous view over ansd easy ramped access to the pool deck . It is A/C-cooled to perfection, so you can switch on the 75” smart TV (with cinema-quality surround sound and on demand TV) and watch the big game in comfort. Should you wish to chill and listen to some music there a wireless speaker available

Kitchen

The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could need for creating delicious meals. There's a stove and hob, a microwave, fridge freezer with flitered chilled water and ice maker, a dishwasher, fliter coffee machine, keurig coffee machine, toaster, tea kettle and blender are some of the appliances available and in the separate laundry room there's a washer, dryer, ironing board and iron and also a clothes line and clothes drying rack in the garage

Dining

There are two dining areas. In the kitchen theres a casual dining area with enough room for 10 people around the table.

The formal dining area is seats 6 people

Bedrooms

5 bedrooms, sleeps 10.

Once that front door swings open, find which of the 5 bedrooms, all with ceiling fans and air con, to call home during your stay.

For those with limited mobility, the pool-view master suite is magic. Its en-suite bathroom features a zero-entry shower with shower seat to make that A.M. shower a breeze, plus easy-access wash basin and raised WC. At the end of the day, sink into your king-sized bed with memory foam topper and dream sweetly.

The kiddos will make a mad dash to the bunk room. Who gets the twin bunk on top? Who gets to spread out on the oh-so-spacious full-size bottom bunk? Decisions, decisions! But nothing a round of rock-paper-scissors can’t fix. There's also a twin bed in this room

Two more bedrooms can be set up with two twin beds or one huge California king, made even more luxurious with its plush memory foam topper.

Whoever snags the last bedroom gets to snuggle into their own memory-foam queen bed and sneak away for a bubble bath in the adjacent bathroom.

All bedroooms have TVs with chromecast to enable you to enjoy a full range of TV entertainment.

Bathrooms

3 bathrooms, 1 en-suites.

The spacious master ensuite bath room is fully accessible for our guests with limited mobility. There's a double sink vanity unit , one of which has room to roll under , a zero entry, roll in shower with fold down seat , grab bars and a dual function shower. The wc is raised with grab bars to aid transfer

Bathroom 2 is adjacent to the queen bedroom and has a full bathtub with overhead shower, single sink vanity unit and wc

Bathroom 3 has access to the pool deck. Again it has a full size bathtub, single sink vanity unit and raised wc with fold down grab bar

All towels are provided

Games Room

The games room is in the garage and has a pool table , foosball and darts. Thre is also a PS2 in the house

Pool

Our extended pool deck has sun on it for most of the day even though it faces east. There are 8 comfy loungers and two tables and plenty of chairs. The outdoor living room is covered to provide shade from the heat of the mid day sun and the hot tub is great to relax in come the evening. There is ramped access from the house to the pool deck and our easy-to-use pool hoist makes it effortless for everyone to take a dip.

Outside

Outside is fabulous. We have an extended pool deck with private pool, which can be heated on request. Relax in one of the 8 padded loungers, enjoy a snack at one of the tables, soothe your tensions away in the hot tub or even catch up with your favourite TV programme in the covered out door living room.

We have adapted our home to make it wheelchair friendly.

There is ramped access at front door, patio doors to the pool deck and from utility room into garage.

The master bedroom door has been widened

The master ensuite bathroom has a roll under sink, zero entry roll in shower with fold down shower seat , grab bars, dual function shower and a shower wheelchair

The master wc is ADA height and has grab bars for easy transfer

The master bedroom is tiled and there is a hoyer type mobile hoist

The pool bathroom has a raised wc and grab bar

There is ramped access to the pool deck and a pool hoist makes it easy for everyone to use the pool

Location

Highlands Reserve villas located in Davenport, Florida just off HWY27. This luxury villa rental, golf course community is a great place from which explore all the world famous Orlando attractions. As you enter the community you drive down the main tree lined Highlands Reserve Blvd and pass the clubhouse on your right. Various golf holes can also be seen from either side of the road. The community also has a children’s play area. NO SERVICE FEE

The Highlands Reserve villa community is split into seven subdivisions. Most have golf related names you will recognise including, Troon, Belfry and Gleneagles. If the names inspire you to enjoy a round of golf, then tee times can be booked at the clubhouse. The course is ideal for golfers of all levels. With wide open fairways, undulating greens and only one water hazard on the tenth hole.

For a different golfing experience why not try the Country Club at Champions Gate or Ridgewood Lakes both of which are nearby. Other local courses include Southern Dunes, Reunion Resort (3 courses) and Champions Gate (2 courses). So many options so little time!

If you are in Orlando to visit the theme parks then Highlands Reserve is a great location with Disney World's main gate only 15 minutes away. Whilst, Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure and SeaWorld are around 25 minutes away by car.

Fancy a day at the beach, no problem, Highlands Reserve is located about an hour from either coast. Cocoa Beach on the Atlantic is great for surfing. Whilst, Clearwater Beach on the Gulf Coast is ideal for swimming or relaxing in the calm warm waters, which live up to it’s name!

Highlands Reserve Florida Villas in Davenport

All our Highlands Reserve Davenport villas are located around 35 minutes from Orlando International Airport (MCO). Sanford (SFB) and Tampa (TPA) airports are just over an hour away. British Airways and Virgin Atlantic fly direct to Orlando and Tampa along with a number of other airlines. Most tour operators like Thomson fly into Sanford airport.

A great advantage of staying on Highlands Reserve is the size of the lots the villas are built on. Having oversized lots means the homes are not right on top of each other, which you often see on other Orlando villa communities.

Guests come back year after year to Highlands Reserve making it one of the most popular villa communities in Orlando. With its great location, excellent golf course and larger than normal homes, it’s easy to see why!

Highlands Reserve Villas: Driving Distances to the Theme Parks

We have added the actual driving distances to the main Orlando theme parks. These are not the distances to the main gate which most people quote, but to the car park for each attraction.

Most journeys to the parks are via highways or the main I-4 Interstate. Driving at speeds of 55-65 MPH makes it quick to get there, and all attractions are well sign posted.

Shops and Restaurants near Highlands Reserve

Highlands Reserve is located along HWY27 in Davenport. Right next door is Berry Town Center which has lots of restaurants from Applebee's Bar & Grill, Paddy Wagon Irish Pub, IHOP, Adlers Burgers, Mia Pizza, Sundays Fish and Chips as well a number of takeaways.

There is also a Publix supermarket for all your groceries and a couple of banks. On the corner just in front of Berry Town Center is a Circle K gas station.

Across the road are a number of new businesses including a Starbucks, 7 Eleven store / gas station, Twistee Treat ice cream, Jersey Mike's Subs and the recently opened (October 2024) Giovanni's Pizzeria & Kitchen which is great.

If you drive out of the main Highlands Reserve community entrance and then go straight across the lights then turn left they have added a number of other new businesses including a car wash, dental care and a number of fast food restaurants including Wendy's, Chipotle Mexican Grill and Mc Donalds. There is a also a Dollar Tree and Dollar General and a CVS pharmacy so you are pretty much covered for everything you need within 2 minutes from the Highlands Reserve community.

Pool Safety Fences

Most of our Florida villas will either have door alarms on any exterior door that leads to the pool area or a pool safety fence surrounding the pool. Some even both, we have put together a blog post and video showing you how to use the fence. If there are no children in your party then you can take it out and rolling it up in the corner if you prefer but please put it back when you leave the villa, ready for the next guests.
